About Lindos
Lindos is a town and an archaeological site on the east
coast of the island of Rhodes in the Dodecanese islands in south-eastern Greece.
It is about 45 km south of the town of Rhodes and its fine beaches and warm climate with over 300
days of sunshine a year make it a popular tourist and holiday destination.
Modern Lindos with its brilliant white houses, Byzantine churches and winding narrow
streets passing elegant shops and restaurants is one of the prettiest and most photographed villages
on any of the Greek islands.
Taking one of the cobbled narrow lanes through the town or hiring a donkey
from the main square you can ascend the ancient acropolis that stands dominating the village high
above the sea and experience spectacular views of the surrounding harbors and coastline.
Lindos has two main beaches with soft sand and shallow crystal clear
waters that offer a wide variety of water sports and two smaller beaches in St. Paul's bay ideal for
snorkeling.
By night you can sample superb International or Greek cuisine offered by an
abundant choice of rooftop restaurants & traditional tavernas, or take advantage of the varied
nightlife appealing to all ages.
Lindos is on Rhodes the major island of the Greek Dodecanese group and the 4th largest in Greece.
The island of Rhodes lies in the Aegean Sea at the south-eastern end of Greece just off the Turkish
coast and is considered to be the pearl of the Mediterranean Sea with its crystal clean waters.
